Being such a fan of Danish design I’ll always find ways to share it with anyone who’ll be in the slightest bit interested. Whether it be a new lighting company, a beautiful home, a hotel, or products on the high street. Yes, you read that right. You can find Danish design inspired products on the high street in Debenhams.
What is Danish Interior Design?
There are three words that sum up Danish interior design. Minimalism, simplicity and functionality. Natural materials are favoured. Especially wood, linen and leather. The overall style is pared back and pure, with an emphasis on flawless craftsmanship and understated elegance. Homes in this Nordic country seem to be infused with a cool northern light, that contrary to expectations is not cold. Probably because colour palettes are warm and textured fabrics are used in layers. It’s a look I love.
