We all have a favourite shop that we like to visit at Christmas. Especially if it’s one that gives us inspiration as well as shopping opportunities for decorations and gifts. For me, one of my favourite destinations is The White Company. Their home products are always tasteful, their home fragrances are always gorgeous, and I know that any gifts I buy will be very much appreciated. But sometimes all I want is a few ideas for those last minute flourishes around the house. Those little extras that can be added to the decorations that are already in place, and that make all the difference.

This year more than any other year we will be snuggling up in our own homes for much of the holidays. So extra blankets and throws will be appreciated more than ever. Piling sheepskins onto stools and ottomans will provide extra seating for family members, as will extra cushions.

You can never have enough candles and tealights at this time of the year. Use different sizes and space them out between taller candlesticks. Then add a few baubles for good measure.
