Lay the Table

It’s almost warm enough to dine outside with a few blankets to hand. So lay the table as if you were expecting friends round. Arrange some flowers, get out the tablecloth and the best china and really make it an occasion. It might be the first time this year you light the barbecue or you may just be serving up a ready meal but that doesn’t mean it can’t feel like a date. Just for one night turn off the news and pretend you’re on holiday.
