Sometimes you get so bogged down in work and projects that you forget to kick back and relax. It’s certainly true for me. The renovation of our holiday home in Norfolk has taken up every weekend since last summer, and although it’s now been finished for a few weeks there never seemed the time to visit and just enjoy it. So last weekend I took the opportunity between bookings to take my two blogging besties, Arianna and Kate for a weekend stay.
It could have been a couple of days of doing not very much at all but I wanted to show them not just the cottage, but the reason why I love the county so much. So, braving the worst the weather could throw at us (you know the English summer? Four seasons in one day!) we explored the coast, ate good food, instagrammed as if our lives depended on it, and generally gossiped as if there was no tomorrow.
Windswept beaches had us gasping for breath, cute little shops tempted us with everything from Cromer crab, to Ascot hats, and every cottage seemed to have roses rambling around the door.
If you’d like to visit, don’t forget Brimstone Cottage is available to rent here.
