Two Bright and Cheerful Sitting Rooms and How to Get The Look

There’s nothing quite like a bright and cheerful room to raise the spirits at this time of year. You know the kind of room. The one that feels like summer all year round. One that doesn’t descend into gloom in the depths of winter and is a pleasure to sit in morning, noon and night. Either of the rooms below would fit that description. One has a subtle coastal theme with its pops of sapphire blue. The other uses green to depict an indoor garden. What they both have in common is the brilliant white walls that are a perfect backdrop for introducing intense colour without it feeling overwhelming. And both of them have taken a chosen a colour and run with it, resisting the temptation to add other hues. The result in both cases is a room that is full of light and an absolute pleasure. Both are, well, cheerful.

I do adore both looks, but for me I would have to go with the green x
