The Standards Collection by Deborah Bowness

One of the highlights of Tent London for me this year was seeing the latest collection from Deborah Bowness.

I’ve written about Deborah before but her Standards Collection is my favourite so far.  As with her other collections, this is also trompe l’oeil with a twist.  Unique and timeless.  The designs are meant to interact with the space around them and the illusion can be enhanced by adding real objects against the faux.

Deborah’s wallpapers creations are an ever-growing body of work. Her entire collection is made up of smaller collections in which designs can be mixed and matched.

Deborah Bowness - New Cross Tiles 1

Deborah Bowness -Utility Tiles

I love the endless possibilities of turning bland neutral spaces with no appealing characteristics into rooms that exude atmosphere and charm.

Which one do you like best?

I like the second wallpaper best. It looks like the facade of an old pub in Poole so I like if for that reason. Although the tiles for the pub are green, but it still looks similar. 🙂
