If you follow me on Instagram you will know that I attended a lunchtime masterclass in flower arranging, at the Jane Packer Flower School earlier this week. I adore flowers but I’m not that good at arranging them, so it was the perfect opportunity to pick up a few tips and try out for myself how to hand tie a bouquet. We were using real spring flowers, but in actual fact the event was to launch the new Jane Packer collection of faux flowers and home fragrances in collaboration with Sainsbury’s.
The collection features romantic peonies, hydrangea heads, garden roses and elegant orchids in a gentle blush palette. Having seen them I can tell you they look convincingly real, and each design is beautiful displayed in an elegant glass or simple ceramic vase, which means you don’t have to arrange them. Thank goodness for that, I say. And to compliment the range there are three home fragrances including: Tuberose and Amber (my favourite of the three), Paperwhite and Jasmine, Violet and Peony. All are available as a candle, diffuser and room spray.
“We wanted to bring a fresh approach to faux flowers with a collection of incredibly realistic arrangements that offers an easy, instant home update that most importantly keeps on giving.”
Anna Cross, Home Accessories Buyer for Sainsbury’s
“We have always championed the belief that flowers are as exciting as fashion and interior design but entirely more accessible and a collection of faux flowers and plants fits this ethos perfectly. Working with Sainsbury’s to bring this to life has been a thoroughly enjoyable process and we can’t wait to see the collection in stores soon.”
Gary Wallis, Co-founder and CEO, Jane Packer
The Jane Packer Collection by Sainsbury’s will be available in stores from 20th May 2016.
