Take a Look
Susanna Hawkins is the designer and proud owner of this kitchen. She is originally from Scandinavia but has been living in the UK for over 10 years. She has two children, a British husband and a beautiful grey cat called Ebba. Susanna embarked on a house renovation when she moved to Bath and has been posting her journey on her Instagram. Much to the delight of her captivated audience.
For her kitchen Susanna wanted plenty of worktop space, a lot of lighting, direct access to the garden, and a better kitchen layout with distributed appliances. “Making decisions about the new kitchen has been the biggest and most time consuming in this renovation project by far. It’s the room we will spend most of our time in, it’s really important I get it right so we’ll love it as much as our kitchen in the old house,” Susanna comments. “As a fan of Fisher & Paykel’s kitchen appliances, I was beyond excited to be working with them in my project. All our kitchen appliances are in black steel, which is a gorgeous alternative to the usual lighter steel colour.”
Susanna has matched her black suite of Fisher & Paykel appliances with Pink Ground in Modern Eggshell kitchen cabinetry.
She has also replaced much of the usual wall cabinetry with open shelving displaying her favourite tableware, glasses and cookware. Not to mention oodles of basketry and plants. The latter of which reflect the trees framed by the stunningly tall windows.
