Splendid Seville

As the temperatures plummeted this weekend it seemed like a good idea to sort out my snaps of Seville.  If you haven’t been yet, you absolutely must!

It was only a few weeks ago but the temperatures there were still like summer.  Hot, sunny days and warm balmy nights.  It’s the perfect city for a romantic break.  We spent days exploring the historic quarter and nights eating and drinking at pavement cafes.

Don’t miss the Cathedral and the Giralda Tower for panoramic views, the Royal Alcazar for its amazing moorish architecture and stunning gardens, and the Plaza de Espana Square.

Sadly, we didn’t see any flamenco or a bullfight (Seville is the home of both) but we had  such a lovely time, we can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful City indeed, but the modern Metropol Parasol, the largest wooden structure in the world, set in the old quarter of Seville seems out of place.
