Naturally Wonderful Worktops

I’ve been doing some research on kitchen worktops for a friend and I’m falling more and more in love with granite.  Marble and quartz are coming in as a close second but granite suddenly has me running round showrooms stroking and caressing.

It’s a luxury material that never falls out of fashion and suits traditional and modern styles. You can go for a classic polished finish, or a honed matt finish if you yearn for a more contemporary look.  It is very low maintenance, it can withstand high temperatures, is water resistant and impervious to most stains (just remember that wine and citric acids must be cleaned up at once).

And doesn’t it look gorgeous?

All that remains is to choose the colour.

I would urge that a complete contrast to the kitchen cabinets is probably the best choice.  White cabinets look amazing with black worktops and dark wood cabinets stunning with grey.

I’m drawn to the first combination. How about you?
