Lewis & Davis is an exciting new collaboration between photographer Emma Lewis and stylist Caroline Davis, two Somerset creatives who met when they independently moved to the West Country two years ago. I’ve known Caroline for several years now, and I’ve worked with Emma on photographic shoots so when I heard that they’d teamed up I just knew it would be a fabulous result. But in truth I’ve been blown away by their new art prints featuring ethereal still life studies, photographed as if through misty glass. Beautiful, calming and mystical.
Caroline told me that they discovered a common link in working style and aesthetic, so a fun and natural working process began to grow organically. With both of them splitting their work life between London and Somerset, time to shoot projects together is scarce, but ultimately productive and always enjoyable. Sometimes producing unexpected ideas and imagery. The rest, as they say, is history.
There are four collections in all (or should I say so far, because you can’t keep a creative duo down); Meryl’s Green, which is a range of stunning vintage green earthenware; Vessels, which is a collection of vintage pots, ceramics and glass; Fronds & Florals, which is of course plants, leaves and stunning Somerset dahlias, grown on Hooting Ash Flowers, the family farm, and Fruit. Emma and Caroline are also very happy to discuss your own ideas and how they can bring them to life for your own private commissions.
The range is now available to purchase on-line, with the option of rolled and tubed prints or a full framing service . Sizes start at A3 up to AO, all in stunning Museum Heritage 310 gsm paper. The designs are printed to order, but for interior designers and commercial clients with tight deadlines, they are more than happy to produce prints within your timescale, so please do get in touch. They also welcome private commissions to fit in with your own scheme.
