I Spy – Helen Musselwhite……….

Have you seen the work of Helen Musselwhite?

Distinctive, highly creative miniatures of the natural
world, made entirely from paper.

Each piece combines hand cutting, folding and scoring in a
wide range of papers and card and then the paper is manipulated to create pattern and
surface texture.

And then she uses them to build complex and many layered
scenes in box frames and under glass domes.

Because everything is done by hand, each piece is individual
of course.  Intriguing worlds of fiction
and fairytale.

Some pay respect to mid-century design, folk and ethnic art,
as well as current and future trends.

Wouldn’t they make wonderful presents for a special
anniversary?
