I started Dear Designer’s Blog in 2009 as a way to collate and share anything that inspires me. Whether it‘s a designer’s portfolio, a gorgeous house, a jaw dropping hotel, a fantastic new product or a beautiful shopping website. I felt compelled to create my own little library of loveliness. I also wanted to share my passion for creating beautiful spaces, and for translating current trends into workable schemes for our own homes.
What started as a hobby, and a sideline to a fledgling career in interior design, grew into something else entirely. Little did I know back then that this blog would become all consuming, and that it would lead to a new freelance career. Nowadays I spend my days writing about interior design for this blog and other sites, following and documenting interiors trends, occasional interior design jobs, and keeping up with the ever growing world of social media.
Dear Designer’s blog is now listed as one of the top 10 interior design blogs in the UK and is shortlisted for the Vuelio Blog Awards 2017.
But that’s not all. I am also one of the founder members and co-editor of Heart Home which became the UK’s first digital only interiors magazine in 2011. Heart Home was always going to be about British homes and British design and we have made it our mission to champion new emerging designers.
But Dear Designer’s blog will always be my first love.
