If I lived up in the hills with expansive views of LA, I’d probably want to live in a house like this one.
The architects, Belzberg Group have made the most of the stunning panorama with every room. It looks like a series of boxes, each with a practical over-hang to keep out the worst of the sun, but each with its own zen-like privacy. There are eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms in all, so you could have a house full of guests and never see too much of them. With bathrooms like this, I certainly wouldn’t be leaving my room much!
And yet, the public rooms are expansive and open plan. It’s a real party house with floor to ceiling windows opening out to the pool terrace. A large living, dining and kitchen space could certainly cope with all the occupants of those eight bedrooms and there’s a TV snug for when you want to get away from the crowd.
Even the rooms facing the back of the house have great views of the surrounding vegetation. I’m not sure what direction I’d prefer to face in fact. I could certainly be very happy with a work space underneath those stairs.
