Wonder Walls – Beautiful Brick
Posted by in Interior DesignNot a new trend by any means, but I can’t help feeling that bare brick walls look so much more authentic with some patches of plaster still adhering to them.
Do you think these rooms are just a work in progress or a design statement? I do so hope it’s the latter.
If you want to try this at home I’ve heard it’s not an easy option. Chipping the plaster off is quite a labourious job and there is no power tool that can take the place of a hammer and chisel and a stiff wire brush. It’s also advisable to finish off with a coat of sealant to stop it shedding dust.
What do you think of this look?

So gorgeous! Love all those pics.
Hello, I’ve been following your blog for a while but never commented before!
I like brick walls, but as you said I prefer it not to look too clean and perfect either. You definitely need a coat of sealant – I wonder how must dust it’d collect though?
