As another work week starts I can’t help thinking that I should have planned ahead a bit more. I was a bit too optimistic in thinking that it would be enough to enjoy the English summer in my own backyard this year. And now as that dream rapidly evaporates I’m itching to get away.
I don’t really care where. All I know is that I crave warm sun on my skin, sultry evenings enjoying spicy food and a different culture to excite my senses and inspire me anew.
What are your plans this summer?

I’d love to curl up in this room – it looks so tranquil. Just what you need after a busy week in the office! Some beautiful finds and a lovely colour palette
Hi Carole,
I follow you on twitter and love your blog too. Great to see such beautiful pictures of Oriental interiors. We hand make all our work with selected designers and help a lot of Interior Designers too. We’d be happy to help if anyone needs any inspiration, one off pieces both in furniture or home furnishings.

I feel the same – I did my garden up in the hope that there would be plenty of sunshine for me to enjoy it, sadly by the looks of it, this isn’t going to happen. I think I am also the only person I know who isn’t having a holiday this year.
