Take Me Away, The Herringbone, Mousehole, Cornwall

Isn’t this the most idyllic little cottage?

Perfectly placed right on the water’s edge in the quintessential harbour of Mousehole (famously named by Dylan Thomas as the prettiest village in England), The Herringbone is a beautiful luxury holiday cottage that would be just perfect for romantic breaks away.

And it’s decorated exactly as I would decorate a weekend cottage if I happened to have one.  It manages to avoid the clichéd blue and white stripes and instead is full chalky whites and greys.  And although it is decorated quite simply it still looks luxurious.

Mousehole is a beautiful place, I ‘ve been there for a few days out in the past, I’ve never stayed there though and after seeing the beautiful Herringbone I’ll have to rethink that 🙂

Interesting fact: Mousehole is also home to one of my daughters favourite authors, Michelle Cartlidge.

She wrote ‘The Mousehole Mice which my daughter adores!
