I’ve fallen in love with this new collection of wall murals from Sian Zeng. Titled Hua Trees, they are painted using Chinese inks in a non -traditional style, and are a reflection of Sian’s European and Chinese cultural heritage. You can choose between full -scale mural wallpapers, whose diverse tonal qualities create a feeling of distance and space on an impressive scale, to intricate fabric, individual tree stickers (not shown) that can be adhered to walls to create an instant focal point. Each is a work of art, hand- painted at 100% scale and scanned to preserve every minute detail.
I’m seriously thinking of ordering a wall mural for the bedroom at home. It’s the entire top floor of our town house and consists of a large bedroom, adjoining dressing room (that can be seen) and en-suite (that can’t be seen). It only has a small dormer window on one side and a velux window on the other side of the room, so although it’s lovely and light it has no window focal point. Plus it has sloping ceilings to contend with. It’s a bit of a challenge to be honest and I’ve been hunting around for something to give the room some direction and something for the eye to alight on when walking into the room and this could be it.
They grey colour looks quite sophisticated and would work very well with the rest of my furnishings, but if it’s the nursery or a little girls room that you’re decorating, it looks very, very pretty in pink. Wouldn’t any little girl find this absolutely captivating?
