I know it’s scorching out there. I know you’re all thinking about garden furniture, and barbeques and where to go on your summer holidays. But the Autumn/Winter collections from House of Fraser are just too good to keep to myself.
These are my favourites.
Shabby Chic. Not a new trend by any means but it seems to be a trend that is here to stay. Pretty as a picture ceramics for dining or afternoon tea at any time of the year.
I love the chunky plates with fluted edges and the teacups and saucers with dainty rosebuds. A scrubbed pine table and a jug full of fresh flowers and autumn afternoons will seem bearable after all.
Kenneth Cole, New York Home. In complete contrast to Shabby Chic this is gritty urban style that will appeal to men and women alike. A hint of retro, a bare brick wall and plenty of chrome with just the right amount of bold colour.
Nice china too.
Linea Homespun. Comfy, cosy, homely. Modern yet traditional. I definitely have my eye on that stag’s head.
Probably my favourite of them all.
All from the Autumn/Winter collection of House of Fraser.
