I saw this house featured on Apartment Therapy and although I don’t usually re-post, for this, I just had to make an exception.
It’s the home of Amy Butler, a fabric designer who lives in Ohio. It’s so fresh and airy and full of so much inspiration that it must be an absolute joy to Amy, her husband and their cats.
I love the re-claimed doors here and the rustic looking table combined with a white floor and sleek chairs.
There are lots of patterned surfaces but used as accents so that they don’t overpower and when combined with antique wood and textured junk shop finds they look fresh and lively.
Oh, for so much light and space. Yet this room surely must look just as welcoming at night with a hugh fire?
Such a lovely verandah. Just made for lounging on a humid (do they get humid in Ohio?) afternoon.
Even the kitchen is airy and the combination of wood, steel and white surfaces is just perfect.
Some of Amy’s fabulous textiles. Aren’t they gorgeous?
I love this little corner, full of things that hold memories of country walks perhaps.
You can find Amy’s textiles on her website here.
For more pictures of the house, (including the gorgeous garden) and the story of how it was put together, pop over to Apartment Therapy.

So pretty! Happy that John Lewis is carrying some of her textiles now here in the UK!
beautiful! love the nature stuff – the butterflies and pinecones and shells.
I love Amy Butler’s fabric. I made a little fabric “mag bag” last year out of some of her material!
Wow – gorgeous!
So very spring-like!
