Anyone who follows me on Instagram will know that last week I enjoyed a mid-week break at The Pig near Bath as a guest of H&M Home. We had nothing to do for twenty four beautiful hours except chat, wander around the gorgeous gardens, look at the new H&M designs launching soon, and eat delicious food.
The Pig near Bath is situated in the Mendip Hills and is in the perfect get-away-from-it-all location. The hotel is designed in the same shabby chic style that has become The Pig’s signature, and it features a greenhouse restaurant, a walled kitchen garden, cute little treatment rooms (I recommend the head massage – divine) in potting sheds scattered around the garden, and quintessentially English views.
I became more than a little obsessed with the bountiful garden and greenhouses and knowing that the vegetables are all home grown makes eating the food all the more enjoyable. As did the wonderful table setting – using H&M products of course.
And don’t even get me started on the rooms! There are 29 in total so this hotel is never going to feel crowded and each room feels like a guest room in a private country house. A Roberts radio softly playing Classic FM set the mood, and comfy chairs, impossibly sumptuous bedding and giant showers made it hard to leave. The monogrammed linen dressing gown from H&M was an extra little surprise.
I could definitely get used to mid-week breaks.
A full review of H&M autumn products will follow shortly.
