From Brooklyn to Britain
It’s opening it’s doors for the first time today my lovelies.
The much awaited West Elm store, London!
Myself, and fellow bloggers had a little preview yesterday and we were all such excited little bunnies. It really did not disappoint. 12,000 square feet of artfully displayed furniture, textiles, accessories and gifts, as well as a West Elm Market shop-in-shop and coffee shop. Which I might add will be opening daily at 8.30am for local workers and residents alike to get their caffeine fix.
Since its launch in 2002 in Brooklyn, New York, West Elm has been helping people express their personal style at home. With a focus on making things that matter, the brand collaborates with independent artists and craft communities to create statement pieces and seasonal collections. The London store is no exception. In addition, they are committed to offering a substantial assortment of handcrafted products.
In store, West Elm will offer a suite of helpful services at the Design Lab, a center of creativity and inspiration, where customers can receive complimentary design consultations and space planning sessions. The store will also host workshops and classes, inviting visitors to discover and create together.
But for me, the most impressive thing about this welcome new store is the quality, affordability and beautiful design of all of the products. From modular sofas to the smallest of Christmas ornaments (love the snow globes by the way) there is something for everyone. West Elm doesn’t offer an off-the-shelf look that will slavishly follow the latest trends but rather it offers a stylishly curated and eclectic collection of products that will slide seamlessly into our own homes.
I challenge you to leave empty-handed.
West Elm London is located at 209 Tottenham Court Road, London W1T 7PN and can be reached at 0800 404 9780.
The UK website will be going down over the holidays but will be available early in the New Year where everything in the store can also be bought online.
