I’m very taken with one of the wallpapers in the new Boutique Collection from Galerie. The collection of six individual wallpaper designs combine beautiful Eastern influences with modern geometric patterns and I love this one in particular with it’s textured, subtle leaf design.
It may be inspired by Eastern origins but I think it lends itself completely to a scheme that fuses a range of ethnic influences. The walls would provide more texture and interest than white paint and would look great paired with warm wood, metal and a collection of found items as shown above. To take it further I would add some African inspired accessories and art, more feathers to add more of those wonderful patterns, some silk and a selection of creamy ceramics.
By keeping the colour palette to white, brown and cream it’s actually quite a feminine and subtle scheme that would be interesting and yet calming.
