You may have noticed that I have a slight obsession with all things botanical at the moment. My taste is veering towards the exotic but I can’t help noticing that the offerings from the high street this spring are also going a little green.
Marks and Spencer are not just restricting themselves to decorative accessories either. Although I do love all of the butterfly and insect prints above! They are also covering armchairs and sofas with fifty shades of green and not to mention vases, trays, and tealight holders.
Dunelm are mixing greens with the ever popular copper and it seems like a match made in heaven.
Lanterns, cushions, vases and bowls all make affordable seasonal updates and lanterns and tealight holders can be moved into the garden once the weather warms up.
And one of my favourite stores for a seasonal re-fresh is Homesense.
It’s hard predict what they’ll have in store at any one time. You just have to go down there and have a look (which I do, often) and remember that once it’s gone, it’s gone so don’t think I’ll come back and get it later. They are adding rope, wood and rattan into the mix and it creates a lovely outside, inside feel.
And just think how lovely all those vases will look filled with fresh spring flowers.
