Cue from the Catwalk – Black Lace
Posted by in Interior DesignEvery so often I receive a press release about something that is so ‘up my street’ that I have to post about it immediately.
From Haute Couture to the high street, fashion loves lace and so do I. Especially black lace. I even have it on my business cards! So I just had to share with you this new collection from James Hare.
Whether you want to add a froth of romance (with white or cream) or a gothic edge (with black) or some glamour (with red, gold or silver metallics) there’s nothing quite like a panel of lace to soften a room and diffuse the light.
Just a word of warning. To keep the look on the contemporary side of granny chic avoid a gathered heading and definitely no tiebacks!

Lace curtains are my favorite. And its a nice idea to use lace in business cars.
How interesting, I would have never thought that I would like black lace! I can certainly see this in a moody grey setting as well as the white above.
Theses lace panels are lovely but Pearl Lowe, mother of Daisy Lowe has been making and selling these for quite a few years through her website http://www.pearllowe.co.uk/ Worth a look as she also has some beautiful delicate colours
Hi Karen, yes, I do know about the Pearl Lowe site. Thanks for reminding me
Must be something in the air. I was just looking at photos of the black lace panels at my door with the intention of blogging them. The shadows thru the lace are beautiful too.
I have no tie backs……phew!
