An Evening with Dalani and Clarissa Hulse…

March 19th, 2012 | Posted by deardesigner in Events | Interior Design

It can’t have missed your attention that the spring issue of Heart Home magazine was published last week! As per usual the last couple of weeks leading up to publication date passed in a haze of long hours and late nights as we tried our hardest to give you an issue that we are proud of and that you (our readers) will find inspirational.

By Thursday evening, all I wanted to do was collapse in a heap with a glass of something nice and not think about anything at all - cue the lovely ladies at Dalani who invited a group of press and bloggers to the studio of Clarissa Hulse for an evening of champagne and screen printing.

I have always been a fan of Clarissa’s lovely colourful designs and it was a pleasure to meet her and her team and even nicer to meet them in the very studio where her cushions, throws and lampshades are hand-printed onto silk and linen.

We had a lovely evening as we all tried our hand at printing our own cushion covers before hanging them on the line with our name tags attached.  Just like at school!  I can’t wait for my finished cushion to arrive in the post.

So thank you Clarissa, her girls and the lovely ladies at Dalani, we had a blast.

For anyone not familiar with Dalani they are an online homewares and life-style shopping club where registered members can benefit from exclusive sales of established and emerging homeware brands with discounts of up to 70%.

And please excuse my pathetic attempts at photography that evening – blame it on the champagne!
